Assistant Professor, Social Studies Education
Post Baccalaureate Program Coordinator
Dr. Brett C. Tozer
I am an Assistant Professor of Social Studies Education and the Post-Baccalaureate Program Coordinator at Urbana University, a branch campus of Franklin University. I believe teaching future teachers is important to transform the world and develop productive members of society. My approach to education is guided by a single aim: Increase student success and decrease student failure. In my own teaching I accomplish this by focusing my energy on three goals – create student ownership by building leaders in the classroom, lead using actionable data, and work collaboratively with community and educational stakeholders to grow and sustain my programs.
